The Bible is God’s revelation, written by divinely inspired people. It teaches the way of salvation and is completely true, trustworthy, and without error.
Exodus 24:4; Deuteronomy 4:1-2; 17:19; Joshua 8:34; Psalms 19:7-10; 119:11,89,105,140
There is one eternal God—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—three distinct persons sharing one divine nature. He creates, redeems, sustains, and rules all things; He is perfectly holy, all-powerful, and knows everything, including future human choices. He deserves our highest love and obedience.
The Father lovingly and wisely governs creation and history according to His gracious purposes. He welcomes as His children those who trust in Jesus Christ.
Genesis 1:1; 2:7; Exodus 3:14; 6:2-3; 15:11ff.; 20:1ff.; Leviticus 22:2; Deuteronomy 6:4; 32:6
Jesus Christ is the eternal Son, fully God and fully man, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He lived without sin, died in our place for our redemption, rose bodily, and ascended to the Father’s right hand as our only Mediator. He lives in believers and will return in glory to judge the world and complete His saving work.

The Holy Spirit is fully God. He inspired Scripture, helps us understand truth, exalts Christ, and convicts us of sin, righteousness, and judgment. He brings new birth and, at that moment, baptizes believers into Christ’s body. He gives spiritual gifts, empowers holy living, worship, witness, and service, and comforts and seals believers, guaranteeing their final redemption.

God created humanity male and female in His image, giving every person of every race dignity and worth. Through humanity’s free choice to sin, we inherit a nature inclined toward sin and become guilty when capable of moral action. Only God’s grace restores fellowship with Him and enables us to fulfill His purpose. Because God made us in His image and Christ died for us, everyone deserves respect and Christian love.

Salvation is God’s free gift through Christ’s redeeming death, received only through personal faith in Jesus as Lord and Saviour. Repentance means turning from sin to God; faith means entrusting our whole lives to Christ.
By His grace, the Holy Spirit gives us new birth (regeneration), God declares us righteous and at peace with Him (justification), and the Spirit helps us grow throughout life (sanctification). Salvation culminates in everlasting life with God (glorification).

A local church is an autonomous congregation of baptized believers, united by covenant under Christ’s authority to share the gospel and observe baptism and the Lord’s Supper. Members govern through democratic processes and are accountable to Christ.
Its offices are pastor/elder/overseer and deacon; both men and women serve, while the pastoral office is reserved for biblically qualified men. The universal Church is Christ’s body, including all redeemed people across every age, nation, and language.

Summary based on the article amended June 14, 2023, by action of the 2023 Southern Baptist Convention.
Baptism is an act of obedience that immerses a believer in water in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. It symbolizes faith in Christ’s death and resurrection, death to sin, new life, and the hope of resurrection; it precedes church membership and the Lord’s Supper.
In the Lord’s Supper, church members share bread and the fruit of the vine as a symbolic act of obedience, remembering Christ’s death and anticipating His return.

God rules over all creation and over those who trust Jesus Christ as King and Saviour. Christians pray and work for His will to be done on earth. His Kingdom will be fully realized when Christ returns at the end of this age.

Every believer and church has the duty and privilege of making disciples of all nations. Born again by the Spirit, we love others and seek to lead them to Christ through spoken witness, a faithful Christian life, and methods consistent with the gospel.

All true wisdom and knowledge are found in Christ, and sound learning belongs to our Christian heritage. Churches should generously support Christian education alongside missions and care for others.
Academic freedom is balanced with responsibility and limited by Christ’s supremacy, Scripture’s authority, and the Christian school’s purpose.
Everything we have comes from God. We are responsible to share His gospel and use our time, talents, and possessions for His glory and the good of others. Christians should give cheerfully, regularly, systematically, proportionately, and generously to advance Christ’s work.

Churches should voluntarily work together in missions, education, and care for others. Associations and conventions advise and support churches without exercising authority over them or one another. Cooperation across denominations is appropriate when its purpose honors Christ and does not compromise conscience or loyalty to His Word.

God established the family through marriage, blood, or adoption. Marriage is a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman, reflecting Christ’s relationship with His Church and providing for companionship, sexual intimacy, and children.
Husband and wife have equal worth: the husband lovingly leads, protects, and provides, while the wife graciously submits to his servant leadership and helps care for home and family.
Children are God’s blessing from conception; parents teach biblical truth through example and loving discipline, and children honor and obey their parents.
